I have seen this movie twice in the theater. first things to jump out at you at the beginning of the movie are "Attention to Detail" like for example ### spoiler alert ### the choice of wheelchair for the hero Jake Sully, his artificial legs ,the sound in the background etc
Also continuing in the same manner ~ the crematorium ~ its vast expanse, the number of firing chambers and the cryogenic births, the zero gravity simulation and the space ship design even though it occupies the screen for a very short/tiny amount of time ~ at the very outset the movie screams ~ attention to detail.. lot of effort gone into it...such design ..incredible..
Can only imagine what the discussion must be between the director, scriptwriter and scorer and their teams ... to bring to life movies such as this..
Now as the movie progresses we see the bulldozers , mechanical man contraptions , the gas masks, the whole environment of the colony habitation on pandora again so much design and attention to detail..one wonders how the creative heads in the movie business come up with such marvels*...
Now i know from watching the movie that it is similar to "dances with wolves" but i like "Avatar" more because of the sheer effort ,path breaking animation and massive creative inputs into it... such a tricky task...asking the money people to invest in the vision of the director...Mr James Cameron must have such self belief...
The premise and science of the movie is out there but cant argue with that everything else is so good and makes up for that... creative licenses such as this is ok every time..
The audience is firmly placed in Jake's shoes...
Its funny to see they still wear ties in the future... i wont tell u who ..
( I am still writing this review )
