boat 🛶

On waves sailing afar
Up and down on the bumpy ocean
With a merry crew
Many voyages I undertake
East west north south

I traverse the globe
Carry merchandise or the like
Powered by wind or oar
Fashioned with wood
Equipped with sails

I know the sea
And she knows me
I am a beast not unlike the whale
Migrating far and wide
Alone or in a fleet

Many an adventure I go on
With my captain and her lot
I wear my colors on my mast
I wish to tame furious waters
For I may have a watery grave

Fashioned by human hands
Steered by human will
Alive by human conquest
I am the humble boat
I hope to stay afloat
